This gave me chills.
Jack Nicholson, who played the Joker in 1989 - and who was furious he wasn’t consulted about the creepy role - offered a cryptic comment when told Ledger was dead. “Well,” Nicholson told reporters in London early Wednesday, “I warned him.”

That last quote gave me chills

Really? Interesting if true

I read something that said he told him not to do it. Joker is one of, if not the, most sadistic villains. He kills to kill. There’s no method. Which is why all of the previous portrails were campy or jokey.

There is no way you can portray a character like that and not bring home even the smallest bits of it.  It’s kind of sad. The Joker was scary as shit, and I honestly believe that getting into that character messed with his head.

It would be really interesting to see the notebook Ledger kept while working up the character, maybe it did mess with his head.. and that quote is something to think about, if true.

I was just talking about this the other day. Ledger actually told someone before his death “I can’t get out, I can’t!” They thought he was being silly, but he was referring to being stuck in character- as the Joker. He couldn’t get away from the evil and it cost him his life.

I’m sick of gender roles.

There are different…

I think my main problem with the “men’s” vs “women’s” things is anything remotely masculine I want comes in pink, and I am expected to buy it that way. What if I just need small tools for my hands? I don’t like pink much. And just because I am a woman and identify that way doesn’t mean I should have to have the sole option of pink. I have no problem with “girly” things. But you do not need to gender every product. Clothes are understandable in some respects, as are body products because men and women are different. Water bottles, electronics, tools, etc do not need to be only pink in the size that fits me. It’s pigeon holing women and it’s incredibly frustrating.

I steal my boyfriend’s deodorant from time to time and he’ll steal mine. I find that men’s works a lot better but I like smelling a little more girly around him as it ties in to MY PERSONAL SEXUALITY (everyone’s is different and I absolutely respect that). So it’s a little frustrating that my preferred scents don’t hold up as well too. But a lot of my “women’s” shampoos and soaps do his skin wonders where the masculine don’t.

It’s a toss up. I hate being confined to one color in what I need. All women are wonderfully different as are men, and that should be respected in all aspects.
